  1. What is Blog Flare?
Blog Flare is a free directory of the best blogs the internet has to offer. We rank our blogs based on their unique hits they receive in the category that they are in. This rank is updated every five minutes. The way we track each blog is by using a small gif icon called a "chicklet" that they have placed inconspicuously on their blog page. In order to prevent cheaters, we go to great lengths both automatically and manually. As we strive to provide you with the best possible blogs, rest assured that cheaters will be banned from the program completely. Do you have one of the best blogs on the internet? Register now!

  2. How Can Blog Flare Help Me?
If you have a blog, Blog Flare can give you that extra boost in traffic. Not only do we display your blog for free on a high traffic website, but we also provide you with statistics and a ranking based on your unique hits.

  3. How Does Blog Flare Track My Blog Traffic?
We track all blogs on our system using a small gif that people place inconspicuously on their blogs. In order for your blog to get ranked, you must place the HTML code from your control panel into your blog. The small gif icon will display your current ranking on Blog Flare.

  4. Where Do I Get the HTML Code for my Chicklet?
You can get the HTML code for your chicklet in your control panel once you've created an account and added a blog. On the main Control Panel page, all the way to the right will be a "Get HTML" link. Click this and copy the code from the box that appears below into your blog. Placement is up to you but it must be visible somewhere on your page to be acceptable.

  5. Why is there No Rating on my Blog Flare Chicklet?
There could be two reasons for this: 1) You don't have any hits registered with Blogflare. Make sure you have your HTML installed correctly. 2) Your blog has been suspended for further review due to violations of the terms.

  6. Are Blogs With Adult Content Allowed?
Websites containing pornographic material will be immediately removed. Nude modeling blogs are considered artistic and are, therefore, allowed.

  7. What is an RSS Feed?
RSS stands for "Real Simple Syndication." What this means for you is an easy way for Blog Flare to grab your most recent posts and display clips of them on your profile to get increased search engine interest. The Most popular RSS Feed formats are as follows:

    • WordPress
      http://www.yourblog.com/feed/

    • Blogger
      http://yourblog.blogspot.com/rss.xml

    • LiveJournal
      http://yourblog.livejournal.com/data/rss

For additional RSS formats, verify the right URL format with your blog host.
